With the recent Norwegian policy announcement from regulator NVE, the time for discussion has begun!

The announcement last week outlined the proposal for the regulation and functional requirements of advanced measurement and control system deployment. With the consultation period running till the 6 May 2011, Norway enters the critical stage of defining its smart energy future. 

Additionally, the transition to hourly metering is high on the agenda for several Nordic countries.
